ABSTRACT -- This paper is about the Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology. Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) is a technology for transmitting the high-bit-rate data on the existing telephone line. There are many types of DSL technology introduced to the world but it is ADSL that is suitable for the internet access. Because of its high bit rate, its simultaneous use with the telephone on the same line and its use of existing infrastructure make ADSL the more interesting technology than analog modem or the cable modem. ADSL can transmit the digital data on the telephone line with the rate more than a hundred bit per second and up to 6 Mbps at the distance up to 18,000 feet.
