Strategy Research and Industry Indicators
NECTEC contributes to work on the research of
technological strategies and industrial indicators for
indicating the status and level of relevant industries and
technologies in Thailand and neighboring countries.
Market and technology trends are studied and published in
the form of white papers.
Assistive Technology Center (ASTEC)
Assistive Technology Center (ASTEC) serves people with
disabilities and the elderly through research and
development, technology transfer and appropriate use of IT
solutions to make them live comfortably and more
independently. The major programs of ASTEC deal with
universal design, web accessibility, talking devices, talking
books in DAISY format, speech training/therapy, PC
peripheral devices for physically disabled persons including
celebral palsy and autistic, and electric wheel chairs. Novel
